I'm delighted to announce that two of our books have made it onto the Longman/History Today Book of the Year Award shortlist this year.
The King's Jews: Money, Massacre and Exodus in Medieval England by Robin R. Mundill is an account considering the Jews of Medieval England as victims of violence and as an isolated people and Red Coat, Green Machine: Continuity in Change in the British Army 1700 to 2000 by Charles Kirke pairs social anthropology and military history to look at the anatomy of the British army at unit level from a completely human perspective.
If you haven't read these books, I hope you'll take advantage of the above links to the previews for each of them...
We wish both books luck!
