It gives me great pleasure to kick off my first post on the brand new Continuum History Blog with news of another web-based treat for Continuum readers. The critically-acclaimed War: A Short History is released in a new paperback edition this week (in the UK) and we have managed to do what some considered impossible and what many believed at least improbable and make the book even better...
We have added a range of helpful online resources that will prove invaluable nuggets of information and interest for students, academics and general readers everywhere - and you don't even have to buy the book. And now, when reading the world-renowned history scholar Jeremy Black’s thoughts on non-western as well as western traditions of warfare, you can intensify your edification with a multiple choice quiz, sample material, chapter summaries, audio and video links, reviews and loads of other cool extras at the War: A Short History companion website.
